ROASTED CHICKPEAS

Picture
Roasted chick peas rock. Flavoursome, crunchy and more-ish like chips       and so versatile as you can add any spices you'd like.

Ingredients

  1. 420 grams chickpeas
  2. 1 tbsp olive or other oil
  3. ¼ tsp salt
  4. 1-2 tsp spices

Method

  1. Dry chickpeas as much as possible (I use teatowel)
  2. Mix well in oil
  3. Place on greased baking tray
  4. Sprinkle salt
  5. Bake on middle shelf in oven at 200 degrees for 20-30 mins
  6. Shake chickpeas around after 10 mins
  7. Once cooked they should be golden and crispy
  8. Remove from oven and add spices
  9. Serve as a snack or on salads

Notes: Add spices according to personal preference. Our favourite is smoked paprika. Also great is cumin or rosemary, garlic powder and lemon zest.
