Fermented Strawberries

    Ingredients
 

  1. Strawberries
  2. Raw honey (must be raw)


    Method

  1. Wash strawberries and chop into 1 ½ cm pieces.
  2. Place in a jar and cover with raw honey
  3. Place a paper towel over the top of the jar and secure with an elastic band
  4. Put in the pantry for 3 days
  5. Stir every day
  6. After 3 days the strawberries should be a little “fizzy” tasting and lovely and sweet.
  7. Store in the fridge in an airtight container
 
 
 
Note: Like most fermented foods these are great for gut health. Perfect with yoghurt, pancakes or just as is!
