Butter Fish

    Ingredients

  1. 500g firm flesh white fish
  2. 1 tsp turmeric
  3. 1 tsp cumin
  4. 1 tsp nutmeg
  5. ½ tsp salt
  6. ½ tsp black pepper
  7. 1 onion diced
  8. 2 cloves garlic minced
  9. 50g butter
  10. 2 tbs tomato puree
  11. ½ tsp garam masala
  12. ½ cup cream
     Method

  1. Chop the fish into large chunks
  2. Add all the spices except garam masala to a bowl and mix thoroughly
  3. Add fish to spices and coat well
  4. In a pan saute onion until soft
  5. Add garlic and fry 2 more minutes
  6. Add fish and spices and cook 2 mins more
  7. Add tomato paste and garam masala. Cook 2 mins more
  8. Add cream and stir thoroughly without breaking up fish
  9. Turn pan right down and cover. Cook 5 mins more. Serve hot.

Note: Like a butter chicken but using fish. Really simple, kid friendly curry. Serve with rice, dahl & steamed greens.
