Butter Fish
Ingredients
- 500g firm flesh white fish
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 50g butter
- 2 tbs tomato puree
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ cup cream
- Chop the fish into large chunks
- Add all the spices except garam masala to a bowl and mix thoroughly
- Add fish to spices and coat well
- In a pan saute onion until soft
- Add garlic and fry 2 more minutes
- Add fish and spices and cook 2 mins more
- Add tomato paste and garam masala. Cook 2 mins more
- Add cream and stir thoroughly without breaking up fish
- Turn pan right down and cover. Cook 5 mins more. Serve hot.
Note: Like a butter chicken but using fish. Really simple, kid friendly curry. Serve with rice, dahl & steamed greens.
