Have you fried broccoli?

We eat a lot of veggies. And I mean a LOT. This is great but it can get a little challenging here, especially in the winter as food is very seasonal. Having the same veg day in, day out is way more exciting if they can be presented differently. I love roasting things and stuff everything from radishes to kholrabi in the oven. However, one of my "go-to", quick, simple, tasty and must be on the table in 10 mins is fried broccoli. If you haven't tried frying it you must. I steam it first until it's cooked but not soft then slice thinly (including all the stalks). Then I fry on a fairly high heat in a little oil or butter stirring when necessary. It goes a bit crispy and a bit charry and takes on a whole new taste and texture. But beware, it means that instead of a floret each with dinner we mow through a whole head - easy!!
