Christmas is the time for getting together with families and friends. If you have kids it seems like hardly a day goes by without some sort of celebration. Often as parents we need to provide a plate - ahhhh! Over the years I've come up with a stable of quick and easy platters that I can whip up. Check out some of the fun plates from this season.

A super simple tree made from melon and berries. Took literally 5 minutes to make and only lasted about that long at the junior Cubs end of year party!

I love using bread boards as they help keep things from moving around. Here are a few I've done for parties of all ages.

I was also delighted to see that other parent's are using food art to provide the wow factor for plates! Have a look at this awesome watermelon cake that one of the mothers put together for her son's infant class. Yummm. And, spectacular edible flowers too.
