Ooh so excited. We're always looking for new recipes & the fabulous Claire from Dom's Kitchen has inspired us to search out offal for her "Nose to Tail Tuesday's". Offal is not necessarily everyone's first pick when it comes to a protein option but it's nutrient dense & can be delicious. The lovely gentleman from Free Little Pigs (a boutique free range farm out of Wellington) gave me some pigs liver & a pig heart. Joe & I decided to cook up a feast. We have pureed white veg, kale chips, green beans & red sweet potato chips. These go with the brandy liver pate & the pig heart braised in red wine with veg. I got a thumbs up from all 3 boys as they happily spooned pate onto the chips although the pigs heart with the puree was the first eaten. I have to say it really was very nice. Winner!!
