This is not "I feel like a bit of something to munch on" which I'd ignore :) but a true hunger.
Being anally retentive I always aim to give him something that he hasn't had earlier in the day (for balance). And being our house it's never traditional packaged snack items.
Here he has corn, coleslaw with home-made mayo, hummus, cherry tomatoes and egg cooked with cheese.
This is enough to stop him feeling hungry and of course also bumps up the veggie quota for the day.
What do you do for "supper" if you have a hungry child? When I was growing up it was porridge and an orange!
