Ah school holidays. Love not being in the routines and also having my little chefs on hand. We share the cooking which is a huge bonus for me .. mostly. The last photo is the disaster that is my floor after Joe cooked Monday.
This however, was not as bad as Max's "oops". He didn't push the eggs back properly onto the shelf so when I opened the fridge door they all came crashing to the floor.

And I appreciate that mess, accidents and the rise in blood pressure makes cooking with the kids often just that little bit too hard. It also takes a long time before the scales tip from it being extra work to it actually being a help. We are now mostly at the "help" stage!
Joe whipped up a pork roast with all the veg and some gravy and Max made Thai fish cakes, coconut rice and a divine

sauce for the Asian coleslaw.
