This is not my favourite ...
He'll love the apple and mandarin, munch through the veg and enjoy the brown rice noodles and corn.
Then come the Thai fish cakes. He'll enjoy the spicy coconut sauce but will struggle a bit with the fish cakes themselves.
Why? Because fish is not his favourite thing. And that's OK as we all have preferences. But it's good for us, everyone else in the family loves them and so I will cook them and he will have to eat occasionally.
Conversely we will have other meals that he loves and Max or Roy or I are not totally sold on. That's life and that's family. Harsh, maybe. But personally I feel that learning to accept that every meal is not your favourite is an important skill.
And tastes do change so periodically trying something again is a great habit.
Am I mean?
