Well it was my birthday yesterday so our family tradition is to eschew presents but pick a restaurant and we all go out to eat. I chose the Crabshack so Fri night we got to gorge ourselves on buckets of crab in garlic butter .. yum! Max wanted to bake me a cake to eat for dessert last night. I chose a baked cheesecake as I don't really enjoy sugary things. He made it with home-made yoghurt, cream cheese and lemon and did the base with toasted oats mixed with nuts and butter. As a sauce he blitzed berries with a ripe banana. It was super yum and for me a decadent end to the school holidays and lots of extra family time. Thanks Max, your first cheesecake was a huge success. It may be a new tradition starting right there ....
