Brussels Sprouts

Last night I made a potato, purple kumara (sweet potato) and salmon bake primarily for Max. He reckoned it was awesome and had a huge helping. Phew, relief as I'd cooked a massive dish. So this morning he has some of the bake plus some Brussels Sprouts. Now I know that Brussels have a bad rap and possibly a lot of that is a hang-over from childhoods when mother's boiled the beejeebus out of them. Limp, smelly and slimy they were not the best (sorry Granny). However, par-boil and then roast them until slightly caramelised and crispy .. now that is a totally different proposition. In fact my family now fight over them.
I decided to make a little recipe page for them even though they are ridiculously simple and then I realised I need a section on the website just for veggies. There are so many that really are stand-outs. Check out the Brussels here ... http://www.theartofnutrition.co.nz/brussels-sprouts.html
Are you a lover or a hater? And have you had them crispy yet?
